Sponsorship Opportunities

Sponsors play a vital role in the success of the 2016 North American Kagyu Monlam and help to ensure that the extraordinary Dharma activity of His Holiness the 17th Karmapa and the Kagyu lineage will continue to flourish.

Sponsored contributions will not only allow us to keep the participant fee as low as possible, but also earn inconceivable blessings by assisting with offerings and helping cover the costs of the Monlam prayer text and the many other materials required for this extremely auspicious event. Every donation, large or small, is deeply appreciated. Each of us has met the teachings of the Buddha through the generosity of others, and by contributing to the sponsorship fund, we have a powerful opportunity to extend this same generosity to transform the lives of others.

Several levels of sponsorship are available, and the names of sponsors will be announced during the Monlam. Top sponsors will receive consecrated statues of powerful long-life aspects of the Buddha: Namgyalma, who removes obstacles and bestows longevity for the purposes of attaining enlightenment and benefiting others; Amitayus, the Buddha of boundless life, who dispels the darkness of ignorance; and White Tara, who grants long life and averts life-threatening situations.
